This image was created for the Adobe Stock Mixed Media #ExpressYourselfChallenge. The original photo by Bryan Castillo was so full of whimsy and fright at the same time. I wanted to explore a visual representation of the human brain during times of stress and anxiety. With The Last Vestige, I wanted to capture that moment of clarity and hope that comes just at the last instant of being lost in thought. Or the feelings of loneliness we feel when lost in a depressive state and how, when there, we only want to hold onto the one little bit of happiness or hope that we have left for as long as it will last.
